The new TAD EL34-STR REDBASE developed completely from scratch! Yet, the results are phenomenal.
In the tradition of the legendary Telefunken EL34, the TAD EL34-STR REDBASE provides a gorgeous, dynamic and amazingly open in-yer-face tone with just the right amount of angriness. Expect a clear, harmonic and open top end, a lovely spot-on midrange, with vocal low-mids and a great bass response as you would expect it from a TAD EL34.
Extra rugged glass envelope, golden control grid wire, two especially large cooling grids and special high-precision construction with smallest tolerances guarantee for maximum stability and reliability..

The TAD EL34-STR REDBASE differs from other EL34 tubes in particular also by the extreme quality control in the production and the special formatting of the tubes by TAD in Germany before the actual matching.

The TAD EL34-STR REDBASE can be used for any EL-34 and also instead of 6CA7 and KT77
It is therefore ideal for guitar amplifiers as well as for HiFi equipment.

The Legendary Old-School Tone!!

The TAD KT66 is our remake of the great British KT66 by MOV (MO Valve), GEC, Genalex and Gold Lion. This tube is THE REAL THING. It has a large curved glass envelope and a rounded brown base. It made the Marshall JTM45 Plexi amps famous in the 60’s and the Quad Hi-Fi amps a legend.

Speaking of legends: SRV used the KT66 in his Fender Amps for his outrageous, gigantic guitar sound.

Tube height (without pins): approx. 115mm.

Recommended:

For a full bodied thick tone with larger headroom, smooth but detailed top end, single channel amps, dynamic playing, vintage British Rock and Roll as well as for the new modern vintage amps 2266 and 2466.
It can also replace the 6L6GC and 5881 tubes.

The TAD 12AX7A-C / ECC83 TAD Premium Selected provides very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and silky top end with overall definition and brightness.
Selected with balanced systems and recommended for guitar amps to improve overall response.

Best for clean tones as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.
Recommended for all positions in amps with medium gain level or High-Gain Amps for V2+ positions.

As for V1 in general, but especially for higher gain amps or phono/audio-amps, we recommend the RT010 7025 Highgrade, the RT095-HG 7025-WA Highgrade or RT093-HG 7025-WB Highgrade
