The 6J5P (6Ж5П) high-transconductance pentode has been designed for h.f. voltage amplification in electronic devices.
The 6J5P pentodes are miniature devices enclosed in glass bulb and are provided with a seven-pin base, rigit leads and an indirectly heated oxide-coated cathode.
The 6J5P pentodes are resistant to ambient temperature from -45 to +70°C and relative humidity of 95 to 98% at +25°C, as well as to vibration with an acceleration of (from 1 to 60Hz) 2 g.

frame grid construction was first produced by Siemens 1952. The most popular frame grid tubes are the Telefunken ECC803S but also the US made 6922 (E88CC).

The benefits of frame grid construction are:

– allows much higher gain; higher transconductance (Gm)
– lower input capacity, allowing higher limiting frequency
– almost no microphonics (stiff frame, resonant frequency of grid wire >20 kHz, beyond hearing limits)
– significantly lower hissing noise level
