Support de lampes de puissance convertisseur de format, passe d'octal (8 broches) à noval (9 broches): Permet de remplacer les 6V6, EL34, 6L6GC, 6550 et KT88 par des EL84. Baisse de puissance à 18W la paire. Et surtout passe de classe A/B à classe A (cathode bias), donc plus besoin de faire régler le bias ! EL84 non fournies, ce qui permet de les choisir en fonction du son désiré.

Psvane WEKT66GC correspond to the electrical specifications of the original Genalex Gold Lion from England in the 1960s.

The Legendary Old-School Tone!!

The TAD KT66 is our remake of the great British KT66 by MOV (MO Valve), GEC, Genalex and Gold Lion. This tube is THE REAL THING. It has a large curved glass envelope and a rounded brown base. It made the Marshall JTM45 Plexi amps famous in the 60’s and the Quad Hi-Fi amps a legend.

Speaking of legends: SRV used the KT66 in his Fender Amps for his outrageous, gigantic guitar sound.

Tube height (without pins): approx. 115mm.

Recommended:

For a full bodied thick tone with larger headroom, smooth but detailed top end, single channel amps, dynamic playing, vintage British Rock and Roll as well as for the new modern vintage amps 2266 and 2466.
It can also replace the 6L6GC and 5881 tubes.

Sovtek 6L6WXT+ ATTENTION: Suite aux sanctions dont elle fait l'objet, la Russie a décrété un embargo sur 200 produits, dont les tubes d'amplification. La 5881 est une version militaire de la 6L6. A ce titre, elle supporte des températures beaucoup plus élevées, et sa longévité et sa résistance aux chocs sont plus grands. Par contre, elle sera 15 % moins puissante qu´une 6L6, et sonnera plus « dur »: moins d´harmoniques et de grain, moins de personnalité. Excellent choix par contre pour les amplis type Hard/Metal car elle renforce la tenue des graves. La 5881 / 6L6WGC est le même tube que la 5881WXT, à la différence toutfois que la 5881 a une base plus fine que la WXT. Elles est utilisée dans les Marshall série JTM et les Soldano.
