The Radial Headbone is an advanced ‘head switching device’ that allows two different guitar amplifier heads to be used with a single speaker cabinet. With Headbone, one head could, for instance, be used for rhythm while a second head could be used for soloing. With 100% discreet class-A circuitry and choice of either buffered or un-buffered inputs, the Headbone will be of particular interest for players that demand the utmost in tonal performance.
The Headbone’s internal switching comprises a sequence of relays, photocells, and load resistors, all of which are controlled via a digitally programmed chip. Hit the footswitch and the Headbone toggles the guitar signal from one amp to the other, disconnects the speaker and diverts the signal to a load resister, reconnects the speaker to the second head and turns on the guitar, all in quick succession.
To ensure safe and reliable performance, the Headbone features SafeMode™ whereby even when power is disconnected, the Headbone will automatically default to a ‘head-1 to cabinet’ status, ensuring a constant and safe load on the amplifier.
For large stages, the Headbone is equipped with Slingshot™, an easy to use remote control system that employs a standard foot switch or contact closure that enables the guitarist to toggle the Headbone’s status from his pedal board. This eliminates running guitar and speaker cables to-and-from the pedal board and the amplifier.

The ´36 Coupe utilizes a dual 6L6 power tube platform with a 12AX7 preamp section and is rated at 36 watts RMS. With Master Volume controls on both the Rhythm and Lead channels, it’s easy to dial in the perfect amount of gain. From warm, chunky rhythm tones to high-voltage, high-sustain rock, it’s all there.

Each channel also provides a Pull-Bright function that, when activated, modifies the low-end response for a chunkier, British-type tone. When not pulled, the tonal response is fuller and rounder, a more American-type tone. By the way, the EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) reflects pure, vintage Kustom specifications.

Drawing on its heritage, Kustom teamed up with U.S. speaker manufacturer Eminence to produce a new driver exclusively for the Coupe Series. The result is the KEI™ (Kustom-Eminence Integrated) Turbo 12™ speaker. With its distinctive aluminum dust cap, the Turbo 12 is a modern interpretation of a vintage speaker design that gives players a taste of the original speaker’s tonal properties, which were great for cleaner tones, while successfully handling more modern, high-gain sounds as well.

The '36 Coupe provides an Accutronics Reverb unit with Tone control (another vintage Kustom feature). You'll also find a Tube-Driven Effects Loop, a Baltic Birch cabinet, a speaker-emulated Line Out and a 3-function footswitch that switches channels, turns the effects on or off, and also activates a 10db overall volume boost for solos.

Kustom Coupe™ 412 A/B guitar speaker cabinets take the classic 4x12 concept and elevate it to a new artform.

The top, bottom and two sides of a Coupe 412 speaker cabinet are all cut from a single sheet of virtually void-free Baltic Birch plywood, recognized for its rich, "woody" tonal qualities. Kustom has found that cutting the cabinet´s entire 15mm frame from a single sheet of birch enhances the overall resonance because each piece has similar structural characteristics and density patterns. Accordingly, the individual pieces of wood resonate together, creating stronger fundamental tones with naturally enhanced harmonics. Furthermore, using modern CNC machines that are Computer Indexed results in incredible accuracy when cutting the wood. Once assembled, the pieces fit together perfectly, with tighter glue joints, for increased strength.

Taking this concept even further, a Straight-front Coupe 412 cabinet features a one-piece Baltic Birch Baffle Board. The Baffle itself is thinner than the cabinet’s shell, measuring 12mm in thickness. Testing at Kustom has shown that a somewhat thinner Baffle contributes desireable resonance to the overall sound, creating more lively, less rigid, tonal qualities.

Naturally, the Coupe 412 with the classic Slant front is built from two pieces of virtually void-free Baltic Birch, as is necessary with the Slant-type design. Again, thickness is 12mm for responsive performance.

Coupe 412 speaker cabinets all use 12-inch Celestion® Vintage 30 speakers, a favorite of professional guitarists around the world. These premium speakers deliver rich, full-bodied tone with great definition and sustain – you’ll quickly hear why they have earned a reputation for excellence. Overall power handling is rated at 240 watts.

Coupe 412 cabinets are wired for Mono or Stereo operation which is selectable using a switch on the back of the cabinet. When using a cabinet in the traditional Mono mode, the four speakers are rated at 16 Ohms. In Stereo mode, two speakers function for the Left side and two speakers function for the Right side with a total impedance of 8 Ohms per side.

Visually, Coupe 412 cabinets are stunning. Total boutique quality. And rightly so, as they are handcrafted at the Kustom Shop in Cincinnati, Ohio. Beautiful, high-quality coverings, Vintage Black Weave Grill Cloth, removeable, vintage-style castors, and rugged handles complete the package. The Hardtop, which is built in the USA using U.S. parts, is an all-tube, '72-watt head designed by Kustom's Chief Engineer, James Brown. Utilizing four 6L6 output tubes and four 12AX7 preamp tubes from Electro-Harmonix®, the Hardtop is a two-channel, Dual Master Volume design that lets players get sweet, harmonically rich distortion from either channel at any volume level. For increased flexibility, there is a footswitchable Master Volume Boost that works for both channels, and can be dialed in for a preset boost of up to 10db - perfect for making solos stand out in the mix.

Drawing on classic, vintage Kustom circuits from the 1960s and '70s, the '72 Coupe Hardtop provides a lush Accutronics® spring Reverb with its own tone control and Kustom's original Tremolo and Vibrato circuits that can be set from very slow to fast speeds, enabling everything from throbbing tremolo to dramatic rotary speaker effects.
